Mederia Patterson

Toddler 1

I am a born and raised Nashvillian and couldn’t imagine living in any other city. I’ve been married to my husband for 10yrs and we have two boys - ages 5 and 2. I enjoy cooking, DIY and my family.

I am beyond excited to be a first-year teacher this year! Although I’m no stranger to WECC MDO - my oldest started the program at 2yr and my youngest is now here in the 2B class. I absolutely love kids! So, this will be a perfect fit and can’t wait to see what this year brings.

Kymberli Baucom

Toddler 1

My name is Kymberli Baucom. I was born in Nashville, however, I moved to Dickson when I was 9 and have stuck around here ever since. I have 2 amazing boys (7&1) and I was blessed with a beautiful stepdaughter (10).  My faith has been a guiding force in my life from a very early age, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing and fun environment for the children I serve here at MDO. I believe in leading by example, both spiritually and emotionally, helping each child grow in their faith and character. With kindness, energy, and a heart for shaping young minds, I look forward to fostering a space where children can thrive in all aspects of life.

For we walk by faith, not by sight”

2 Corinthians 5:7

Carolyn Johnson

Toddler 2

I am returning to MDO after being out to have babies last year! I am so excited to be back, working to help shape, mold, and love a new set of sweet friends. I love the community of strong women that I get to work alongside here at West End.

I have been married for nine years to my high school sweetheart, Mason. We have four boys: ages 7, 4, and twin 1 year olds. We just finished building our forever home in Kingston Springs, just outside Nashville.

Meredith Hinlo Toddler 2

I am a Nashville native and I am so excited to be working at MDO this year! I am from a big family so taking care of kids comes naturally to me. Previously I taught second grade, and I worked as a nanny for several years before that. My son will be at MDO in the Toddler 1 classroom and we are looking forward to making new friendships this year. In our free time we love to spend time with family. We are looking forward to growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

A little information about me.  I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved here 13 years ago.  My favorite thing to do is watch Hockey and Football with my family.  I am a huge Greenbay Packer fan and love rooting on Bama.  I am a big fan of the Predators and love going to watch them play.  I am married and we have one son in first grade. I am excited about this school year.  It is truly a blessing to be with these kids.

Irissa Daron

2B

I have been with the MDO family for over two years now and it has truly been an honor to work with such a wonderful group of women. I’ve been around children of many different backgrounds and love to see the wonder in a child's eyes when they are learning and thriving in their environment. I have always had a passion for learning and early childhood education and development. I have a four year old son named Atlas who is also in the program. We love to go to Church on Sundays and spend quality time with our friends and family. Working with the WECC MDO program has been a blessing for our family in so many ways and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us this year.

This is my first year with WECC MDO and I am so grateful to be in a safe community with such incredible people and leaders. I recently moved here from California and I am passionate about all of the arts!! I have two daughters, Odyssey and Freya. We love spending quality time together and in nature. I am very much looking forward to contributing to the growing minds of your littles and deepening their hearts with the love of God, friendship and community.

3’s

I have been teaching preschool for sixteen years! Prior to working here, I was at St. Paul Community Church MDO. I have taught at the BHSE homeschool tutorial as well. I love teaching preschool aged children. They are like a sponge and I love watching them make new connections and grow! I am one of the original teachers that have been with WECC MDO since it opened. This program has been such a blessing to me and my family and has allowed me to balance working and family responsibilities.

I am happily married and I have two children. Our daughter Julie is 21 and our son Carson is 19. We love to be outdoors and on the water! My faith is also a very important aspect of my life. My family and I have been active in spreading the gospel and doing the Lord’s work in our community. I am very excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to working with your child! My goal is to provide a loving and comfortable environment where your child feels safe and eager to come to school. We plan on learning while having fun and projecting the love of Jesus into every day!

Andrea Watkins 3’s

I have lived in the Nashville area my whole life. My husband, Clay, and I met in high school and have now been married 13 years and have 4 amazing children. Aiden is 11 and breaking into his crazy middle school years! Our little "mama bear" McKayla is 8 (and going on 18). Ryan is a wild 5yr old who started kindergarten this year. And little Ruby is 1 year already and such a joy!! We love raising our family so close to where we grew up ourselves. And close to grandparents who are often called in when we need reinforcements while my husband is away for work or military duty!

I have always loved teaching children and am so honored to have a place here at West End.  I have been a part of WECC MDO off and on since 2014, when the program began, and each of our children have attended and been loved here. It is so special to me to have these co-workers become friends that have had a hand in my children's lives. I am humbled to have this same opportunity with your little ones! We have so much fun together at MDO and it thrills me to watch them learn and grow in Jesus.

Ann Thornton

PreK

I have been with the Mother’s Day Out program since 2014 as the teacher in the four and five-year-old room.

My husband and I have been married for 40 years and have three children (+2) and six grandchildren. I enjoy reading, scrap booking and trying to grow green things.

I strive to provide a fun and loving classroom environment for the children to discover new skills in readiness for kindergarten and opportunities to learn about God.
